STEPS FOR ENROLLMENT IN CONSTANTA MARITIME UNIVERSITY FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE BEGUN THEIR EDUCATION IN MARITIME UNIVERSITIES IN UKRAINE
According to the Romanian Ministry of Education universities in Romania can accept to studies former Ukrainian students under the following conditions and procedure:
Ukrainian citizens can be enrolled as holders of a Romanian scholarship, i.e. no fees for education and accommodation. Former students can be enrolled to studies in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of studies. No final year students (4th) can be transferred to a Romanian university.
If students have no documents they should fill in a mobility request, a statement of previous studies and a curriculum stating what subjects they have already passed in their former academy (download here).
They must also provide a copy of valid passport and birth certificate. Students in the 4th year can only be enrolled in the 3rd year in Constanta Maritime University. After a zoom meeting with the Deans of the Faculties, their documents will be sent to the Romanian Ministry of Education which issues a Letter of Acceptance to studies. Based on this Letter and a Certificate from our university, students are transferred to studies in Romania.
Third EU students who have formerly begun studies in Ukraine can also be transferred to Constanta Maritime University as self-tuition fee students. They are to pay half of the tuition fee for this academic year- 1400 euro. The rule for students enrolled in the 4th year in the academic year 2021/2022 applies as stated above for Ukrainian citizens.
Before graduation all students should provide official documents from former maritime academies in Ukraine, proving their enrollment and studies. After assessment of documents they will be allowed to sit the final Bachelor’s Degree examination and they will receive a Bachelor’s Degree Diploma recognized throughout Europe.
Constanta Maritime University offers two Bachelor’s Degrees in Navigation and in Marine Engineering in English.
