Examination for maritime officers licenses (maritime officers\u2019 certificates of competency)<\/strong><\/p>\n The candidates for maritime officer license\u2019s examination (all specializations) will submit their enrollment folder to the Romanian Naval Authority. The folder must contain the following documents: The sea service period required for the examination, valid until 31 December 2016 is:<\/strong><\/p>\n a). to have a sea service period of minimum 12 months which includes on-board training, according to the requirements of section A-II \/1 of the STCW Code, training that is confirmed by a training record book, where it is registered the embarkation periods, vised at the board ship or by the crewing agency or to have an embarkation period of minimum 36 months of which at least 12 months in the last 5 years.\u00a0 The practice training may be done on the aspiring marine deck officer rank, maritime helmsman, maritime boatswain, ordinary seamen ranks;\u00a0\u00a0 b). have performed, during seagoing service on board, watchkeeping duties on the navigation bridge under the supervision of the master or a qualified officer for a period of minimum 6 months.<\/p>\n a). to have a sea service period of minimum 6 months which includes on-board training, according to the requirements of section A-III \/1 of the STCW Code, training that is confirmed by a training record book, where it is registered the embarkation periods, vised at the board ship or by the crewing agency.
