Course aim
The course is an essential one in navigation because it is designed to enhance the skill and knowledge about ship handling and efficient management of the bridge team. It consists of theoretical lessons supplemented by computer, based training and ship handling simulator exercises.
The course didactic materials are written in English and the course will be held in English unless otherwise agreed.
Course objectives
On completion of the course, the trainees are expected to be able to:
- Familiarize with the use of instrumentation and controls used on the bridge;
- Understanding and awareness of correct watchkeeping procedures;
- Experience in identifying operational problems and trouble-shooting them;
- Experience in handling ships under various conditions and will make a more effective contribution to the bridge team during ship maneuvering;
- The ability to make decisions, which promotes the safety and efficiency of an operational plan.
Entry requirements for enrollment
You have to fulfill one of the following conditions
- This program is open to and intended for all deck officers joining ships where Fleet Management Limited is the Manager listed in the Documents of Compliance

Certificate
On successful completion of Bridge Team Management Course, the trainees will receive the Certificate for course completion.
