Master Sr. DPO has an experience of more than ten years in the offshore industry, has worked on drilling semi-submersibles, drill ships, accommodation semi-submersibles and different types of offshore support vessels, gathering more than 5000 hours in DP. 12 years experience in the oil and gas personnel recruitment, as General Manager for Oil Gas Recruitment – Romania / Bulgaria Ltd. Over five years being an active DP instructor at the Maritime University has brought a plus to the overall business.

Bachelor Degree in Maritime industry has an experience of more than thirty years in the maritime and offshore industry, on board of oil and chemical tanker ships. He coordinates ECDIS TRANSAS generic and type-specific courses. Trainer and instructor, he is also in charge of Fire Fighting Polygon and rescue boats equipment and supervisor of students basic training. Fluent speaker of English, Italian and Greek.

He has experience in the maritime field, skilled as a deck officer in the art of navigation. With over fifteen years devoted to teaching Maritime Transport, he has enriched his field through national research endeavors and has been a prolific author. His contributions to the literature on navigation include both numerous articles and collaborative works in book form. Since 2008, he has served as Lecturer at CMU, where he instructs in Maritime Transport and guides aspiring seafarers on the “Neptune – Kongsberg” Simulator for Liquid Cargo Operations.

He is an experienced maritime captain with extensive knowledge and practical skills in navigation. At Constanta Maritime University, he teaches various courses within the Faculty of Navigation, including Radar Navigation, Voyage Planning, and Maritime Safety and Security Management. His expertise enables him to effectively train and mentor future maritime professionals.

Expertise in the maritime business industry, specializing particularly in the construction, operation, and management of oil and chemical tankers. He has spent the last 20 years at the top level as a Master Mariner onboard ship and as Chief Operation/Executive Officer while employed in ashore management positions. Concurrently, he has been lecturer at Constanta Maritime University. In this role, Capt. Surugiu shared knowledge and expertise with students pursuing maritime education and training.

Cristian Gabriel Manolache has more than 14 years of experience in offshore industry on DP3/DP2 vessels involved in Accommodation / Heavy lift crane, Pipe-lay (rigid and flexi), Diving Support (saturation and air dive), ROV, Trenching, Construction, Subsea-construction.
He has been working on almost all the offshore types of vessels starting with PSV’s; AHTS; ROV’s; DSV, Rock Dumping, Pipe-lay (rigid and flexi); Heavy Lift; Construction, Accommodation, Subsea construction, DP2/DP3 vessels for more than 9 years as SDPO / Chief Officer. During the years, he worked in: Europe, West Africa, South America, North America, Persian Gulf, Asia. He has around 12500 hrs on DP, from which more 9500 hrs as SDPO. He activates as DP Instructor for CMU Training Centre since 2018, offering students a lot from his vast professional experience.

He has a solid background in military maritime operations, where he has developed valuable skills and experience. With 20+ years onboard and 18+ years teaching experience, he works at the CMU at the Navigation Simulator, contributing to the training and education of future navigators. His combined expertise in both practical military settings and educational environments makes him a well-rounded professional in the field of navigation.

With extensive experience in maritime and offshore operations, he has built a strong professional background as Chief Mate and Senior Dynamic Positioning Officer (SDPO) on various offshore vessels involved in pipe laying, diving, accommodation, ROV, drilling and heavy-lift projects. Since 2020, he has been a DP Instructor at the Constanta Maritime University DP Training Centre, contributing his extensive practical experience and specialized knowledge to the professional development of maritime personnel. He holds an Unlimited Master License and an Unlimited DP Operator License issued by the Nautical Institute and has participated in numerous international offshore projects and vessel commissioning, DP proving and FMEA trials.

He has been a dedicated technician at the Constanta Maritime University since 1997, specializing in Engine Room Simulator training. With years of experience in maritime engineering, he imparts practical knowledge and skills to students, preparing them for real-world challenges in engine room operations. His commitment to education and hands-on training has made a significant impact on the future of maritime professionals.

He has extensive experience in maritime operations, having served as both a motorist and a engineer officer, on board ships. Since 2002, he has been a dedicated educator at the Constanta Maritime University, where he teaches various courses within the of Faculty of Naval Electromechanics. His teaching portfolio includes subjects such as steam generators, steam and gas turbines, marine machinery, internal combustion engines, pollution control and prevention from thermal machines and equipment, as well as noise and vibration control and mitigation. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he has held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Naval Electromechanics since 2020, further contributing to the advancement of maritime education. And from 2024 he is a qualified professor, PhD supervisor in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

Since 2022, Andreea has been serving as DP Training coordinator at CMU Training Centre, showcasing her dedication to education and administrative excellence.
