Bunker Survey Course

Course aim

The overall aim of the Bunker Survey Course is to train participants in conducting safe and efficient bunker survey. The course provides the trainees with solid marine technical knowledge required to understand the role of the surveyor, the procedures for carrying out bunker survey and writing reports necessary to become bunker surveyor.

The course didactic materials are written in English and the course will be held in English unless otherwise agreed.

Course objectives

On completion of the course, the trainees are expected to be able to:

  • understand the meaning, the role and the liabilities of bunker;
  • understand and apply the procedures for bunker fuel sampling;
  • understand the considerations in writing the bunker survey reports;
  • demonstrate the understanding of bunker fuel tank measurement techniques;
  • be able to project onboard bunker fuel quantity using consumption rates;
  • understand and apply the Code of Practice for Bunkering;
  • apply and deliver procedures and documentations;
  • understand the international maritime laws and conventions in the field of bunker survey.

Entry requirements for enrollment

You have to fulfill one of the following conditions

  • General knowledge of seamanship;
  • High school diploma;
  • Working knowledge of English language.

Certificate
