Course aim

Through national regulations (Emergency Ordinance No. 80/2003), competencies have been delegated to the Romanian Naval Authority and port administrations regarding the implementation of the ISPS Code, namely the monitoring of how ship and port facility security management systems operate.

The purpose of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS)  Auditor course is to develop the necessary competencies for individuals designated to carry out ISPS audits and to certify these systems

The course didactic materials are written in English and the course will be held in English unless otherwise agreed.

Course objectives

On completion of the course, the trainees are expected to be able to:

  • International and national legal requirements regarding ship and port facility security (the ISPS Code and national legislation);
  • Audit techniques in accordance with international practices (ISO 19011);
  • Requirements for the certification of management systems (ISO 17021, ISO 17022).

Entry requirements for enrollment

You have to fulfill one of the following conditions

  • Basic knowledge in the maritime port field.

Certificate

On successful completion of ISPS Auditor course, the  trainees will receive the Certificate for course completion.
