The Master’s degree program in Maritime Transport and Smart Port Operations, in the field of Naval Engineering and Navigation, aims to train highly qualified specialists in the design, organization, operation and management of maritime transport and modern port operations, in a context characterized by accelerated digitalization, increased safety, sustainability and legislative compliance requirements.
The program aims to integrate advanced engineering knowledge with managerial, digital and research skills, preparing graduates capable of managing ships and smart port systems, using emerging digital technologies (IoT, Big Data, Digital Twin), applying national and international regulations and actively contributing to the sustainable development of maritime and port transport.
The general objective of the master’s program is to develop the professional and transversal skills necessary to exercise the occupation of operational transport systems engineer, specializing in maritime transport and smart port operations, in order to occupy positions of responsibility in maritime transport companies, port administrations, logistics operators, regulatory institutions or research centers.
The program aims to train graduates capable of analyzing, designing, optimizing and coordinating complex processes specific to ship operation, voyage organization, port operation and risk management, using engineering methods, digital tools and principles of leadership and professional ethics.
