Electrical energy systems engineering
The study program Electrical Energy Systems Engineering is a study program offered since 2020. The undergraduate Bachelor’s degree study program in Electrical Energy Systems Engineering is dedicated to high school graduates who wish to pursue a career in the field of energy engineering, as engineers in the field of energy engineering.
Graduates of the study program in Electrical Energy Systems Engineering may subsequently choose master’s studies and gain the ability to use concepts, theories and descriptive and assessing models to explain and interpret engineering solutions in the field of electrical energy.
Graduates of this study program in Electrical Energy Systems Engineering gain competences in the field of design, construction, exploitation, maintenance, operation and activity planning in classic power plants, thermal plants, hydropower plants, nuclear plants or renewable energy plants, solar and wind power, micro hydropower plants or marine farms, but also in the electrical energy transport and distribution systems.
The study program in Electrical Energy Systems Engineering last 4 years, 8 semesters, and ofders 240 credit points.
WHAT YOU STUDY
It is our intent to offer the premises for a strong career in this high end sector of the Romanian economy.
Studied subjects: electrical engineering, computer programming, electrical machines, electrical drives, production of electrical energy, transport and distribution of electrical energy, electrical energy conversion methods.
The engineer diploma (see diploma supplement) is internationally recognized and offers the opportunity to find a job anywhere around the world.
As a student enrolled in one study program, you may choose to additionally enrol in a second specialization or even transfer to a different major.
Opportunities to study abroad
Many of our students choose to study one semester at one of our partner European universities, by applying for an ERASMUS study scholarship.
After graduation you may choose to pursue a career in the field of electrical energy engineering or, should you choose to complete additional Master’s and Ph.D. studies, you may join the faculty members.
Improvement of training facilities has been an essential part of our university strategy. In order to apply the theoretical knowledge gained during lectures students will use state of the art simulators.
According to the teaching curriculum, you will have the opportunity to strengthen your theoretical abilities and build practical competences by choosing to perform your engineering training at the premises of various local companies, at the Cernavoda nuclear plant,but also in Constanta Port, as aspiring electrical energy engineer, based on partnership agreements concluded by the university.
Opportunities upon graduation
Graduates of the study program in Electrical Energy Systems Engineering have real chances to find jobs and evolve professionally – mainly in the national and international electrical energy field.
For the last three years the enrolment to studies has been organized online, using a 128-bit SSL encryption system.
Admission to studies is carried out as follows:
- Through an admission contest in which the admission average is the weighted average of the Baccalaureate average and the average obtained at the exam in Mathematics.
- Through selection of files, in which the admission average represents the Baccalaureate average.
